For 18 years, The Card & Payments Awards has supported charitable causes such as Childline, When You Wish Upon A Star, Anthony Nolan Trust, First Love Foundation, Young Minds and many more. 

During this time, over £300,000 has been raised for charity and we have been able to help many people in need. 

Each year, The Card & Payments Awards selects and supports a new charity.

In 2024, The Card & Payments Awards will support Cancer Research UK.

Cancer Research UK is the largest charity funder of cancer research in the UK and the only charity fighting all 200 types of cancer. We fund 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses across the UK who work between our 17 research centres. We also campaign for change and provide cancer information to the public. We're here to save more lives, make treatment kinder, inform the public, expel fear and cure - Our vision is to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.

We'll support our researchers to explore the biggest problems in cancer research from every angle, with the ultimate aim of improving how we detect, prevent and treat cancer.

Prevent

We're funding research to help uncover more of the risk factors associated with cancer and develop new measures to prevent more people developing cancer.

Detect

We're building a community of researchers who can improve our understand of the biology of cancer in its earliest stages and help to develop new ways to detect them earlier.

Treat

We're funding research to develop kinder and more targeted cancer treatments, so that people can lead better, more fulfilling lives for longer.
