2026 Charity Beneficiary

Our Commitment to Giving Back

For more than twenty years, The Card & Payments Awards has supported meaningful charitable work across the UK and the Middle East, raising more than six hundred thousand dollars for organizations including Cancer Research, Childline, When You Wish Upon a Star, Anthony Nolan Foundation, Young Minds, The King’s Trust and Al Jalila Foundation.

As we bring the Awards to the United States for the first time, we are proud to continue this tradition of industry led impact. The payments industry has always played a powerful role in enabling generosity, from donation technology to large scale community support.

Our goal is to build a long term partnership with a U.S. charity that reflects the values of this industry and the communities it serves.

For 2026, we are honored to introduce Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City as our charity beneficiary.

For more than one hundred and twenty years, Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City has been a leader in youth mentoring, serving young people from age seven through college graduation across all five boroughs.

As the nation’s first and the city’s largest youth mentoring organization, BBBS of NYC is driven by a clear vision that all young people can achieve their full potential. Their mission is to build and support mentoring relationships that spark confidence, growth and opportunity. By connecting underrepresented young people with caring, consistent adult mentors, BBBS of NYC helps bridge the opportunity divide and opens doors to academic achievement, personal development and meaningful careers.

Impact You Can Measure BBBS of NYC delivers outcomes that are both inspiring and measurable.

Their 2025 results include:

• High school graduation: 100 percent of youth graduated high school

• Grade promotion: 100 percent advanced to the next grade level

• College enrollment: 94 percent of seniors graduated with plans to attend college

• College persistence: 86 percent were on track to earn a bachelor’s degree within five years, far above national averages for low income, first generation students

• Career success: 63 percent of youth in the Career Pathways Program secured an internship or job within six months These results are supported by research from Harvard University and the U.S. Department of the Treasury, showing that BBBS mentoring programs expand opportunity and economic mobility.

By partnering with BBBS of NYC, we bring the payments community together behind a cause that reflects our shared values and creates lasting impact. How the Industry Can Get Involved We invite banks, fintechs, networks and partners across the payments ecosystem to join us in supporting BBBS of NYC throughout the 2026 Awards cycle.

From fundraising on the night of the gala to year round visibility and engagement, this partnership is designed to create meaningful and enduring impact.
